Shanlar's Story...
Shanlar is a sweet kitty who is about 4 years old. She is a sweet girl who loves to lay by you and be petted. She still tends to be a little skittish especially if there are other pets in the house. She gets along fine with other cats and small dogs, but will need time to warm up to them. She would do fine in a home by herself as well. Mostly, she just needs a quiet home where she can just learn to be herself. Shanlar had some old trauma on her eye but she can see just fine and it doesn't require any medication or special care. If you want a special kitty who just wants to be loved and will love you back, then Shanlar is the girl for you!

Her adoption fee is $50 and includes her spay and vaccines. She is FeLV negative. If you are interested in meeting Shanlar, please contact us for an application. cyndy@happytailsaz.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shanlar, a Chandler Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chandler, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chandler.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chandler already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chandler breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chandler paves the way for another one to be saved.
