found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already spayed, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.
Hello, Ken! This is Barbie, surely you remember me? Well, life got a little rough since we've last chewed bones together........I went to a stroll and someone called the doggy cops on me. You're never gonna believe this, Ken! They threw my gorgeous self into a cell with so many hoodlums, the types of dogs that we high-class girls turn our noses up at! Oh my, I sat there for over a week, waiting and listening. (No one bothered to do my hair and my nails, no pampering, no attention on me whatsoever!) Anyway, after a couple of days, I started listening to what these other dogs were saying about "Rescuers".
I had seen some of those people come in and out of this place a few times, and many of them looked at me through the windows and kept on walking by. Can you believe that? Not a one of them came in to check on me until finally ONE DAY - ONE FINE DAY, when I over heard the big humans talking about "the room" and heard them say I was next. What? What room? Where am I going? To a salon? What is this "room"? Well, not too long after that, one of those "rescuers" who kept talking to me through the window, came inside with a soft and well-worn leash, and took me out of my cell. She played with me, kissed me, and told me what a beautiful girl I am.
Sheesh, we got outside, and I tell you what - I have never smelled air that was as refreshing as the air I smelled that day! We got in her car (and as badly as her car looked and smelled), I knew I was going to be going to a better place than where I was.
Wow! I have been to see the doctor, he gave me a "tummy tuck" and some shots (Botox, maybe?), and I have been allowed to soak in a tub, had my ears cleaned, a pedicure, and some lovely doggy cologne! Ok, this isn't as good as having my own home, but MY "rescuer" tells me that I'll have another home soon, and she'll make sure it's the best home in the world!
Well, Ken, just wanted to let you know what's been going on in my life. I hope you're happy, I know I am now, and I feel blessed that I wasn't sent to that "room". Have a good one, my friend, Ken, maybe we'll catch up again sometime at the doggy park?
