Stella's Story...
Stella is a female Boxer mix, already spayed and current on her vaccinations. She was born in a foster home on 12JAN06. She is well-socialized and loves people and other dogs. She would love a home with another nice dog and children who are old enough to enjoy her. If you don't currently have a dog, she would love it if her human guardians would arrange for her to have some "play dates" with some nice doggies. Stella loves to ride in the car whether the destination is shopping or to play in the park. Stella is in the process of being housetrained and this is going well. She will readily go into her crate - especially after she has been playing hard or has gone for a long walk and she's ready for a rest! Stella loves to be with people, she is curious, energetic and has had some basic beginning obedience training. As an adult, she will probably be 50+ pounds. She is a wonderful girl!

As HAHS now has several adoption locations, please contact Christine at or 913.262.6261 to find out when and where you can meet STELLA! At that time, you can discuss Stella in greater detail. This will also give Christine a chance to learn more about your lifestyle in order to ensure a good match for both Stella and her new family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stella, a Overland Park Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Boxer puppy from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
