Rocky's Story...
Rocky is a fun-loving, happy guy who is looking for his permanent home. We're calling him a Corgi/Dachshund mix, but that's just a guess. Rocky may have a little Chihuahua in him or who knows what else? This vertically-challenged boy with the long back and "Flying Nun" ears is as cute as can be, both in looks and personality. He is about 1-1/2 to 2 years old. Rocky enjoys playing with other dogs, so a new home with a doggie buddy would be extra-nice. Cats are another story, though. Rocky tends to be a little overly-fond of felines. Rocky LOVES school-aged children and older, but toddlers and preschoolers make him really nervous, so no very young kiddos for this guy. Rocky is all about playing hard, napping hard and cuddling next to his favorite person on the sofa to wind down after a busy day. Rocky is definitely a love-bug and wants to sleep on his person's bed and be with his family as much as possible. He loves going for walks and enjoys riding in the car. Rocky is just a great all-around dog who deserves the love and stability of a permanent family. Our $150 adoption fee helps cover the cost of Rocky's neuter, microchipping, shots and worming. Rocky is also on monthly heartworm prevention and flea control. If you would like to give this handsome guy a loving, permanent home, please complete our online application today:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky, a Carrollton Corgi/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Corgi/Dachshund for sale in Carrollton, or seeking a Corgi/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Carrollton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carrollton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carrollton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Corgi/Dachshund breeders who help with Corgi/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carrollton paves the way for another one to be saved.
