Here's what the humans have to say about me:
9/13/2010: Cute Fran was rescued from a shelter in a rural area of Texas. The animal control officer said that Fran had been reported because she was chasing his cattle and he was going to shoot her if she wasnt picked up. Poor Fran didnt know this was a no, no and certainly didnt deserve to be shot. Thank goodness she was picked up. The shelter contacted a rescue group that took Fran under their wings.
Fran is 40 lbs and about 18 months old. Shes a Great Pyrenees and maybe setter mix? Shes all white with freckles on her skin around her snout which is very cute. While we arent sure of her genealogy what we do know is that this girl is a beauty and very sweet! Shes a puppy still and loves to goof off. She is good with other dogs. She wasnt originally good on a leash (would drop to the floor) but now she is a great little walker and has plenty of energy to keep up with her human!
Fran is looking for her forever home and for someone to help get her life "right" this time around. Like many of our dogs, Fran is currently in the South but will be arriving in Maine on September 25. Please visit our web site to learn about our adoption procedure, and THANK YOU for considering rescue!
