Leroy's Info...

I am good with dogs and good with cats.

Leroy's Story...
Leroy is a cute, sweet, shy little pooch who doesn't like the noise and the chaos of the kennel. Fortunately, he's able to spend the day behind the shelter front desk with some doggie pals! Leroy is a great size and will respond in kind to any affection. He's had a shaky life so far it seems. He's looking for a stable home with lots of TLC. He would probably be best placed in a home with another dog.

Act quickly to adopt Leroy. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leroy, a Berkeley Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
