PIP's Story...
br>AARF only adopts in Richmond, Virginia, area.

Hi! My name is Pip…. as in Pipsqueak. It looks like I may be mixed with Border Collie/beagle and will probably be a medium little guy. Right now I am just working on growing and being strong. I have gained a whole half pound since this weekend so I am doing a great job! I loved to be held and am very gentle and love to give stinky little puppy kisses. I have only met one of the cats in the house so far and had no idea what it was. Next week I may get to meet some of the other things I hear barking somewhere in the house, how exciting! I will let you know how that goes. In the meantime, if you want to know more about me please email AARF or my foster mom.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

PIP, a Richmond Border Collie/Beagle puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Beagle for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Border Collie/Beagle puppy from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Beagle breeders who help with Border Collie/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
