Alf's Story...
Alf is a big goofy guy with a strong presence. His favorite thing in the world, after you of course, would be FOOD! Being a Coonhound, he will sing your praises when the spirit moves him. He likes other dogs as long as he is in charge. In his day, we bet he could tree a raccoon with the best of them, now in his golden years, he would just like to rest at your feet in front of the television, or sun himself in your backyard a few hours a day. Alf is about 8 years old and 85 lbs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alf, a Marina del Rey Bluetick Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bluetick Coonhound for sale in Marina del Rey, or seeking a Bluetick Coonhound dog from a breeder in Marina del Rey.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marina del Rey already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marina del Rey breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bluetick Coonhound breeders who help with Bluetick Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marina del Rey paves the way for another one to be saved.
