My name is Gretchen and I am looking for a forever family that will love me enough to keep me forever. I am five years young, and as you can see from my photos I am a very beautiful tri-colored Basset Hound. I have very good manners and I love being close to my people.
I do not know what I did to deserve it, but somehow I found myself in a place called "The Shelter." It is noisy, hot and pretty smelly in the shelter. Anyway, I was lucky and my foster mom came and bailed me out of there in less than 48 hours. Since being with my foster mom I have already learned to go up and down the things called stairs and I can come in the "doggie door" any time I want to. I can go out it too, but I am not as good at that. My foster mom says that I am a fast learner, and should have the doggie door down in another day or two.
My foster mom has four little people that come and visit every day. She says they are her 'grandchildren." I am very nice too them and try very hard not to scare them. They are all pretty used to four leggers though as there are three that live here forever. I get along great with all three, even the oldest one, although he can be a bit disagreeable at times. I enjoy playing with my two foster sisters. One of the grandkids is three. He and I play all the time. I really enjoy all of the different toys that my foster mom has at her house.
I really am a very good girl and I just know that if you adopt me we will have lots of fun for a long time to come.
