My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This good-looking blond youngster is looking for someone to love. Friendly but protective, Hank has the makings of a good watchdog. He does need training, but he's a smart fellow who would love to learn how to please you.

If you would like to help rescue a dog but can't make a lifetime commitment, please consider offering Hank a foster home, or sponsor his temporary stay in a boarding kennel.

Hank is an energetic guy, who would be a great addition to an active family. He is comfortable around children, but can be bouncy, so would probably not be suitable for a family with very young or timid children. He loves to play, and will bring his ball back to you as often as you'll throw it for him.

He gets on well with most other dogs and tends to be submissive, but will fight back if attacked. Hank has never lived with cats but would probably chase them ... and when he's around livestock all his herding instincts come to the fore.

Like all Mikey's Chance dogs, Hank will come to you sterilized, up-to-date on shots, microchipped and treated for internal and external parasites. An adoption fee of $225 will help offset the cost of his care.

Are you looking for a happy companion for running, hiking, camping, or pretty much anything that involves working those muscles outdoors? Hank would love to meet you! Contact us at mikeyschance@gmail.com for more information and an adoption application.
