Jack Bentley's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Jack Bentley's Story...
This handsome boy was recently rescued from a high kill shelter out of state (courtesy listing). He has a gorgeous color pattern and short hair that repels water. He loves to swim! He will need a fenced yard to play in and would love frequent exercise with his new owner.
At 37 lbs and ~7 months, he is tall and appears to be a cross between a lab and an English setter. Lots of personality and sensitive to the feelings of kids.
As with most shelter pets, his past is unknown. He is not very confident yet and needs encouragement. He is coming along very well on his crate-training. Please call (904) 838-1827 or email for more info. $50 adoption fee to a qualified home includes neuter, vaccinations and even microchip!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jack Bentley, a Jacksonville English Setter/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Setter/Labrador Retriever for sale in Jacksonville, or seeking a English Setter/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Jacksonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacksonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacksonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Setter/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with English Setter/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacksonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
