My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Update - 6/6: Cosmo tested negative for heartworm disease at his vet visit today, and is scheduled to be neutered on Friday (6/9). He will be ready for his forever home in about a week!

Meet Cosmo! Cosmo is a gorgeous 2 year old male WGSD. He was found wandering the streets, and taken in by a good samaritan. All attempts to locate his family have failed, so now he's looking for a new home.

Cosmo is a very sweet boy. He gets along well with other dogs, but can be a little pushy. He appears to be housetrained, but has a nasty habit of jumping up on you. This is being worked on in his foster home. He really wants to please, and is very smart.

Cosmo is utd on routine vaccinations and flea/tick prevention. He will be going to the vet Tuesday (6/6) for a heartworm test and to schedule his neuter. We'll update once full details are available!

Please Click Here to fill out an application. This is the first step in our adoption process. No adoption will be considered or discussed until this has been completed and received.

Cosmo must go to an indoor home where he will be an important part of the family. We do not adopt to anyone under the age of 21. Our adoption fee is $250.

Note: Mid-South Shepherd Rescue is a no-kill, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We do not have a shelter location. Our dogs are kept in foster homes as part of a family, to help prepare them for transition into their forever homes. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please contact us by clicking on the email address to your right. We will be glad to make arrangements for a meeting.
