Otiss's Story...
Hi! My name is Marilyn Monroe, but my foster Mom calls me Mari. Im a 2 year old petite yellow female labbie mix about 50lbs. My foster Mom is working on putting a few more pounds on me as Im a little on the skinny side. Im very shy and unsure at first but once I know you will treat me well, I warm up and will get comfortable with you quickly. It may take a couple days to settle in but will make myself right at home (I sleep on my foster Moms bed!). Im completely house trained and do not have to be crated while my foster Mom is at work. I have a foster brother who I get along with very well because he is a very mellow guy and is not in my face. Im a medium active dog, enjoying walks, playing with my toys and foster brother. I think I was pretty much ignored in my previous life and I just love to cuddle up, follow you around and be part of a family. I would be best with a family that will continue to expose me to new experiences and build my confidence, work with me on basic training, and correct me with a firm but soft touch. I take correction very well because I do want to please. No children under the age of 12, as I still need to learn a few manners. I could be a companion to another older mellow dog or if Im an only dog, a family that is not gone long hours. I would do best in more settled environment that is not crazy busy with lots of activity. This is too overwhelming for shy me. Come check me out!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Otiss, a Torrance Labrador Retriever/St. Bernard dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/St. Bernard for sale in Torrance, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/St. Bernard dog from a breeder in Torrance.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Torrance already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Torrance breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/St. Bernard breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/St. Bernard rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Torrance paves the way for another one to be saved.
