Persia's Story...
Persia is a 1 year old female Pit Bull Terrier. She is white in color with a couple waves of light brown that contains some brindle coloring. Persia came to us from the Austin city dog pound. She weighs about 55 pounds. Persia is super-friendly and loves the company of people. She has been fine with kids and has also been around other Shelter dogs. We are not sure how she would do with cats, as we have not tested her in that area. Persia is current with all vaccinations and is spayed. It’s hard for us to say if she is housetrained or not based only on our observations in the Shelter setting. Persia is a very sweet gal, and will not be adopted as an outdoor dog nor as a guard dog. Her adoption fee is $95. We utilize a short adoption application form to assess compatibility between dogs and their prospective homes. This form is a simple one-sided Microsoft Word document and it can be e-mailed to you upon request. If you would like to receive the form via e-mail, or if you have any other questions, please send us an e-mail message.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Persia, a Austin American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Austin, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
