Sidney-Courtesy Post's Story...
Meet Sidney! Between 4-5 years old, this sweet girl is in search of a forever home. She is neutered, black, border collie/lab mix, about 40lbs. Sidney is house trained and in good health. She's a sweet, lovable dog with a lot of personality and energy. She can be a bit territorial when meeting new dogs, or cats, but once she gets settled, she's fine with them. She's mostly just curious!

While Sidney is good with most dogs, she may do best in a home without small dogs. She does not always get along with her foster family’s older poodle. Sidney is good with kids, however does get excited and jumps at 1st. Ideally, Sidney would love a family that has the time to walk/run with her or has a fenced in yard to run. Would you be willing to give her that chance?

**Note: This dog is not at the Berea Shelter. Please contact Liz directly for more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sidney-Courtesy Post, a Berea Border Collie/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Berea, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Berea.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berea already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berea breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berea paves the way for another one to be saved.
