Sugar's Story...
Sugar is a young, energetic 10 month old pure bred bichon boy - he had to have his beautiful hair shaved off because he was so badly matted (and neglected), by his owners that he couldn't be combed out. Actually, his owners are the ones who took him to the shelter, and it seems that was the luckiest day of his young life.

Sugar has a slight fear of men, and was most likely seriously abused by a man in his former home. In his foster home, he has quickly learned to trust the husband, and we believe that when shown kindness, he will continue to overcome the shyness toward men and will become a loving member of a family.

Sugar has a gentle, but playful nature, and would love to find a family of his own as soon as possible. In the meantime, he gets along with everyone and every dog he meets.

Sugar is waiting patiently for a home of his own. Do you have room for Sugar in your life and your heart?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sugar, a Simi Valley Bichon Frise puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bichon Frise for sale in Simi Valley, or seeking a Bichon Frise puppy from a breeder in Simi Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Simi Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Simi Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bichon Frise breeders who help with Bichon Frise rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Simi Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
