Bare Bear's Story...
I don’t know why I’m called Bare Bear – I have loads of fur – and it is beautiful! At only three years old, I’ve already been in three different homes. I’m part Golden Retriever and part Chow. This makes perfect sense because I love to fetch and play with toys and I love other dogs. I like to bond to one person and I take my job of protecting that person quite seriously. In my last home, I lived with another dog and I really enjoyed his companionship. At Save-A-Pet, I have a special trainer who works with me and always tells me what a smart boy I am. If you want a handsome, playful, loving guy and have experience helping dogs overcome some challenges, ask to meet me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bare Bear, a Grayslake Golden Retriever/Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Chow Chow for sale in Grayslake, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Grayslake.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grayslake already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grayslake breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Chow Chow breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grayslake paves the way for another one to be saved.
