Roxy's Story...
I'm Roxy, aka Chicken Legs. I am all about keeping my legs shaved! What else would you expect from a proper lady. I LOVE cheesecake, what woman won't?! I am known as a Congo African Grey and a mere 8 years old. I like to make lots of whistles and beeps. I also like to be scratch on my head and petted, but only on my terms. I give kisses to everyone for free with an added kiss noise. So let me come home with you and show you what a lady I am.

Please email us at obparrotrescue@yahoo.com for an adoption application and adoption fee. Our adoption procedure is located on our website under the adoption & fee info tab.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roxy, a Redlands African Grey was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a African Grey for sale in Redlands, or seeking a African Grey from a breeder in Redlands.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Redlands already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Redlands breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even African Grey breeders who help with African Grey rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Redlands paves the way for another one to be saved.
