Lizzie's Story...
Oh I am the nicest girl. You wouldn't believe in a million years if you met me that I had come from such beginnings. Used for breeding, abandoned, then finally taken in by a wonderful woman who passed away leaving me once again without a loving family. But I am a fighter, a resilient lady with a special sprit. I am so loving and gentle and kind and I have nothing but love in my tiny terrier heart. I am a 10 year old rat terrier and while I adore cuddling and I love to relax around the house I also love to go for walks and adventures and I enjoy other animals very much as well. I am great with doggies and kitties, totally house and crate trained and all around wonderful, sweet girl I just had my teeth cleaned, I am spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.
My adoption fee is $100
I am living in foster care so please contact the pixie project to set up a meet and greet!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lizzie, a Portland Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
