Coopie's Story...
INITIAL BIO 09/20/2010: MEET COOPIE! He is an adorable 11 y/o 6# yorkie who is being fostered in The Villages, FL. Coopie was surrendered by his owner who was no longer able to care for him. He's in perfect health, except for a whole lotta rotten teeth; Coopie will see the vet soon to have a dental so that his mouth won't cause him so much pain. Oh, and Cooopie is also deaf, but he does really well for a deaf dog. He would be a healthier weight if he lost a couple of pounds, so Foster Mom will put him on a food plan that will be much healthier for him, and he should drop those couple of pounds soon. Coopie gets along well with other dogs, but NO cats! Whoever adopts this little man will be a very lucky family as he is a real charmer. NOTE: Due to his small size and his hearing disability, Coopie can only be adopted into an adult ONLY household. Coopie has just arrived at Foster Mom's home, so please check the webste soon for more info on Coopie!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Coopie, a The Villages Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in The Villages, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in The Villages.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in The Villages already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a The Villages breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in The Villages paves the way for another one to be saved.
