Boaz's Story...
We would like to explain that if you are looking for a perfect dog, they are rarely found in rescue. Our dogs often have unknown histories and we do our very best to evaluate each dog with kids, cats, and other dogs as well as determine how they behave in a home. It is important to understand that we have some specific criteria for each dog based on their backgrounds and input from their foster families. The purpose of these criteria is to better match each dog with an appropriate family. While a certain dog might appeal to you based on breed, size, gender or appearance, you may not match the listed criteria. Please understand that we are not trying to make adoption difficult—we are trying to make each adoption successful for the dog and the new family.

Boaz is a purebred, AKC papered blue & tan chihuahua who lost his home due to economic problems. He is 3 years old and weighs 7.8 pounds. It's too bad that we can't photograph Boaz's delightful personality! He is social, funny, friendly and a wonderful dog. He doesn't even seem to realize he is a chihuahua! Boaz likes to play with toys and other small dogs, and he also loves to snuggle. He sleeps quietly in bed with his foster mom at night and doesn't bark except to alert to a knock at the door. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Boaz, a Osseo Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Osseo, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Osseo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Osseo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Osseo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Osseo paves the way for another one to be saved.
