Blackie's Story...
Blackie came to us from a breeder release. We think she was a pet before someone put her on line free and she ended up being a breeder dog. Such a shame people don't know what happens to their pets when they are free on line. We rescued her from the breeder and she had just had a litter of pups. Most of the the time breeders release (at a cost to us) the dogs if they don't have enough pups to make it profitable for them. :(

Blackie is a great lover, likes to cuddle. She is friendly, house trained and just 15 lbs of love. schnauzers and bichons are both hypo allergenic dogs.... We think that is her mix, but we don't have any guarantee only our guess with as many dogs as we rescue She has missed so much being caged for so long, but she remembers being loved and wants to have a happy loving home again. .

Blackie is a snuggler. She is friendly, black in color, docked tail and natural ears. . .

blackie's adoption fee is $295 and included our vet package below plus a dental was done. She is being fostered in Akron, Ohio area. br>

Blackie has been examined by our vet, had a 5/1 annual shot, a rabies shot and tag dewormed, heart worm tested and passed. Spayed before adoption and a dental was done. She is about 4 years young.. Our rescues are on flea/tick and heartworm monthly preventatives in season. We also do a dental if our vet deems it necessary which is included in our adoption fee. Our adoption fee covers all vetting expenses and a small donation to cover the dogs food and care, supplies for her foster mom to take care of her.

We send your new dog home with a copy of all vet paperwork, adoption papers, a small bag of the dog food they have been on and information on taking care of the dog. Also a health folder for your vet and notes from our foster mom on their schedule, habits and socialization skills.

We do adopt our rescue dogs to adjourning states and some others within driving distance of the foster family. We DO NOT SHIP OUR DOGS--the adoptive parents must meet the dog at the foster mother’s home. This will give the adoptive family a chance to meet the dog before they adopt it. Our dogs are fostered in NE Ohio and surrounding areas.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blackie, a North Benton Schnauzer (Standard)/Bichon Frise dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Standard)/Bichon Frise for sale in North Benton, or seeking a Schnauzer (Standard)/Bichon Frise dog from a breeder in North Benton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Benton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Benton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Standard)/Bichon Frise breeders who help with Schnauzer (Standard)/Bichon Frise rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Benton paves the way for another one to be saved.
