Maddie's Story...
Maddie is a 1 year old black female with natural ears. She's on the tall side, about 33 inches at the shoulder, and at this point looks like she is all legs. Maddie's previous owners took very good care of her, and it shows. She has a beautiful soft and shiny coat and pretty white teeth. She is a total lovebug and greets everyone she meets with a happily wagging tail and lots of puppy kisses if you let her. She is very inquisitive, and makes us all giggle when she creeps up to something new, and then jumps and runs away. She is good with both male and female large dogs, cats and kids. We suspect she would be fine with small dogs, and she lived with a pit that was on the small side, but she hasn't been tested with anything smaller than that. Maddie is working on basic commands and crating at this time. She loves to please, and gets very excited when anyone takes her outside to play. She rides well in the car as long as you don't mind her head on your shoulder! Maddie is truly a lovebug, and would make a great family dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maddie, a Hanover Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Hanover, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Hanover.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hanover already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hanover breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hanover paves the way for another one to be saved.
