GUIDO's Story...

THIS IS GUIDO....a handsome, 17 lb, white, 4.5 yr old, Lhasa Apso, who was dropped off at the vet to be euthanized because his owner just didn't want him anymore. No reason given, she just didn't want him. His guardian angel, Tori, saw him and said, WTF? She took him home and said to this almost perfect boy, "we'll find you a family" and she called Lhasa Happy Homes! We'll never be able to understand his human's mindset...but we are grateful to Tori for saving Guido's life. This boy is a stud! His underbite is just about the cutest thing you have ever seen....and Guido is the perfect name for him!! He is a Lhasa with long legs, but a purebred who came from a petstore in Westminister (birthday March 3, 2007). We are not sure why we have had him so long, except he is a little bigger/taller than your average Lhasa....but he is so handsome and his underbite just shows his character. He really is a LHH favorite, along with Thatcher, who has a similar personality!! Guido understands "sit, let's go, come, go potty and high 5!" And he loves to dance! He will get super excited when you come home, he can hardly wait to jump into your arms! He is good with older kids, dogs, cats, men, name it! He really loves men!! He is a dog for all seasons! He loves to ride in the car and is a perfect gentleman;
and loves his walks! He loves toys...and is a little hard on them -- so please have plenty back-ups ready! He isn't a barker, but he doesn't like being left alone. That being said, he is OK with a canine pal or two (a small dog who can be his companion!). He loves cats and most dogs....but he does have to meet in advance! He will give you kisses to show how much he appreciates your caring for him....oh yeah, and he will sleep at the foot of your bed and move the toys off to make his comfy place! He is a very loving dog who just wants to be back in a forever home where he can cuddle and love you ...and let you know he truly wants to be your very best buddy! If you love the breed, you'll love Guido!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

GUIDO, a Los Angeles Lhasa Apso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lhasa Apso for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Lhasa Apso dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lhasa Apso breeders who help with Lhasa Apso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
