Lisbeth's Story...
What happened to Lisbeth's family? She must have been a wonderful companion, good manners, intelligent, beautiful. How did she end up on her own, nearly starved, covered in fleas and ticks, still wearing the pink collar someone had chosen for her? I wish she could tell her story. We rescued Lisbeth from the folks at animal control who saw something beautiful in her, despite her emaciated body, broken teeth, fly-bitten ears and sparse coat.

Lisbeth is recovering beautifully, gaining weight and getting the medical attention she needs. She now weighs over 60 lbs and her coat is thick and soft. We don't think she can hear very well, maybe just due to her age. She's still a little wobbly, so she shouldn't be left alone with dogs who might play rough with her. But she's starting to toss toys into the air and she even galloped in the snow recently.

Lisbeth is affectionate, quiet, and enjoys walking. She survived on her own as long as she could. Now she's grateful for our help. I can see the trust growing in her beautiful eyes as her strength is returning and she's feeling secure once again.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lisbeth, a Conyers German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Conyers, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Conyers.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Conyers already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Conyers breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Conyers paves the way for another one to be saved.
