Boots's Story...
BOOTS was recued from a high kill shelter after he was turned in due to his owner having to move into a long term care facility. We were told that the man cried his heart out when he had to leave him and begged the staff to find him a home and not put him down. Boots time was up and we were contacted by the shelter to see if we had space to save his life............BOOTS has a laid back, friendly personality. He is quiet and well behaved. He is a large size cat with a gentle temperament. He always seems to be on the lookout for his person to come back and take him so we hope that Boots finds a home soon so that he can feel loved once again. He obviously was a loved boy by his previous owner but due to unfortunate circumstance he found himself in a shelter. BOOTS is up to date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV/FIV. His adoption fee is $175.00.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Boots, a Markham Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Markham, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Markham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Markham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Markham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Markham paves the way for another one to be saved.
