Josh's Story...
Josh is a smoke colored male pup born early May 2010. He is solidly built and enjoys chasing balls. Josh will be vaccinated, dewormed, vet checked, and neutered prior to adoption. He takes heartworm prevention. He is suitable for adults with some dog experience and older mannerly children. He is starting basic obedience training in foster care. He is best suited to an adopter who will be the pack leader. He may be too much dog for a very permissive, meek human who doesn't know how to be a leader. Josh has a short low maintenance coat and an energetic, playful personality. He would enjoy being a running partner or hiking with his owner.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Josh, a Chapel Hill Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Chapel Hill, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Chapel Hill.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chapel Hill already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chapel Hill breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chapel Hill paves the way for another one to be saved.
