Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Sassy Spice, a spayed female Lionhead and a stunning example of the breed. Her looks have a tendency to go to her head and shows in her attitude! But her strong personality is what we have come to love about her! If you have experience with rabbits, and are not intimidated by a little show of attitude, Sassy may be the rabbit for you!
When Sassy Spice first came in, she would bat or grunt when you entered her cage to feed or clean or even pet her former cagemate, Sugar, but after a lot of time and patience, and the help of a cage that opens from the top, her foster mom can actually put her hand in without any fuss and can even pet Spice! But picking her up is still off limits! She is 100% at using her litterbox in her cage, using an XL sized cat litter box filled with hay. She is the QUEEN of binkies when she is out of her cage during playtime! She is so entertaining! An ideal home for Sassy Spice is one that has some experience with rabbits that are protective of their cages and without small children. Although she has no issue with hands coming into her cage at her current foster home, we do not know if the stress of a new environment will cause her to become protective again. We can give you lots of suggestions to help make the transition smoother for any potential adopters. She was housed with a male rabbit upon coming into our rescue, but she was very protective of him. We are not sure how she would do with another rabbit, but it possible that she can be a "mate" for the right bunny. She will not be placed in a home that does not meet this criteria for the safety of Sassy and her potential adopters alike. She is not for the new bunny owner!
