Willie's Story...
Willie is very sweet and outgoing and one of the gentler of the siblings of this litter. He has a gorgeous sable-colored medium-length coat. Willie and his siblings were rescued from a high-kill shelter in Georgia at the age of 3 1/2 weeks with their mama Susie. The puppies are now 8 1/2 weeks old and nearly ready for their new homes. Mama is a very sweet and affectionate dog, and so far her babies seem to have inherited her personality. The puppies are estimated to mature at between 50 and 60 pounds. They will have had a series of three puppy shots, four wormings, and they will be neutered by the time they go to their new homes. Adoption fee of $250.00 helps to cover veterinary costs. To adopt Willie, contact Melanie by email: melanie.savage@sbcglobal.net or phone: 860-228-3208 for an adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Willie, a Litchfield Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Litchfield, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Litchfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Litchfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Litchfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Litchfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
