Dulcie's Story...
I'm a great girl who's always ready for a good time, and if I can't find one, I make one of my own! I was rescued from the pound when my time was up, and try as I might, good times were hard to come by there. But, now that I'm at FOHA it's onward and upward, with only blue skies ahead! I have an infectiously positive outlook on life and a friendly, loving personality. I'm bounding with playful silliness, and love everyone I meet. I walk best with a harness, but you'll never harness my zest for life! I'm always wearing a smile with a twinkle in my eyes. I'm great with other dogs and I love riding in the car. I sit very nicely, especially if you have a treat! Yes, that's right, I said treat. I love them, can't get enough of them! So what say you let the good times roll on over to meet me? Oh, and bring me some treats while you're at it, please. (PLEASE NOTE: I can only be adopted in the DC Metropolitan area. There will be no exceptions to this policy.)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dulcie, a Aldie Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
