Toby's Story...
Hi World,
My name is Toby and I’m a seven month old dapper and rather charming little guy – an old soul in the body of a bichon mix. Mom says to let you know that my ear is always cocked jauntily to the east giving me a very expressive face… and that I am happy to glide into someone’s arms, after playing hard with my foster brothers!

While I’m a lover and a cuddler, Mom says to tell you I’m also a mixture of self assuredness, bravado and puppy exuberance. I love other dogs and children – the more the merrier. I’m strong and tough, sweet but macho and oh! so much fun to be around. Mom says I am a dog for all seasons who can make you laugh just watching my antics.

There are many new things in my life … for example I’m learning to walk on a leash, be housebroken (I’m almost there) and to respond to commands. I would love to be in a home with another dog as I’m a great buddy.

Mom says I have star possibilities, with my sense of timing, comical looks and darling personality. So if I sound like your kind of fur kid, please complete the application at www.bichonfurkids.com – and ask for me. I’m Toby!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Toby, a La Costa Bichon Frise/Schnauzer (Miniature) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bichon Frise/Schnauzer (Miniature) for sale in La Costa, or seeking a Bichon Frise/Schnauzer (Miniature) puppy from a breeder in La Costa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in La Costa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a La Costa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bichon Frise/Schnauzer (Miniature) breeders who help with Bichon Frise/Schnauzer (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in La Costa paves the way for another one to be saved.
