Harley's Story...
Harley(female)
Hi! My name is Harley and I am a female, 5 or 6 month old Black Lab Mix dog. I am playful. I was found in a walmart parking lot. My owners, unfortunately are in school and soccer so don't have as much time for me as they wish. I would love a backyard to run around and play in! I weigh about 40-50 pounds and am housetrained, not fixed, and not up-to-date on my shots. If you're looking for a great dog, look no further because I know you'll be pleased with me! If you would like to meet me, please call Tarah Arrington at (210)792-8215 or email me at Tarahbrooke@aol.com. There is a screening process to adopt me and my adoption fee is a suggested donation to Pet Savers of $30 for their help in rehoming me and to help assure I go to a good home. Once you adopt me, PLEASE get me spayed/neutered to help control the HUGE overpopulation and euthanasia rate in this area. Robinson’s Rescue low-cost Spay/Neuter Clinic (Shreveport) offers special low-cost pricing for spaying and neutering. Call 318-861-0101 for your spay/neuter appointment ONLY, not about this pet!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harley, a Haughton Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Haughton, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Haughton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Haughton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Haughton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Haughton paves the way for another one to be saved.
