Annabelle's Story...
Hello everyone,
My name is Annabelle. I was rescued in 2008 by a rescue called gental giants because I look like a St. Bernard puppy. They had me in their rescue for a few months and noticed that I never grew. I stopped growing and all I weigh is 35 lbs so I am no St. Bernard well maybe a minnature. I was probably a year old back then which would make me about thee now. Between now and then I have lived with a really nice family, unfortunately, times are tough and they could not provide for me anymore. I am a good dog, I like other dogs and older children. I have lived with cats before but it has been a while. My main issue is that I am an escape artist. I love to jump fences especially tall ones and go exploring. Most of the time I was just looking for something to do, so the right home will have to keep me entertained. If you think you could provide me with a good forever home please email the adoption interest form to adopt@valleydogs.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Annabelle, a Gilbert St. Bernard/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a St. Bernard/Border Collie for sale in Gilbert, or seeking a St. Bernard/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Gilbert.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gilbert already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gilbert breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even St. Bernard/Border Collie breeders who help with St. Bernard/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gilbert paves the way for another one to be saved.
