My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sonny and Sweetie are a special pair. They were returned to us after five years of being in a home. After seeing a vet and some TLC they are doing much better. They are both kind of scared. It is going to take a few months for them to adjust in a home. They both like to be held and cuddled. You will need to do this on a regular basis in order to bond with them, Sonny especially. It will be very important to seek them out on a daily basis and spend time with them in the beginning. While they will take extra effort on their adopter's part they are worth the time. Sonny will melt into your arms after some time and Sweetie is super, super affectionate. It took the foster home about a month and a half to get them to come out of their shells, but they only trust who is working with them and no one else. So, if you want them to bond with you you must spend the time. They are okay with dogs and other cats, but we do not feel that they would be good with small children because they are so scared. They would like a quiet home with not a lot of action and they really do not like loud noises or someone moving at them to fast. If at all possible they would really like it if they could have their own space for the first few months until they get used to whoever adopts them. It also makes it easier to find them. Sonny likes a place to hide, especially a kitty bed. He likes to go underneath the couch and inside the box spring. He likes the dark and is much more of a night owl. He doesn't play much, but loves to be held. His foster mom carried him around in a baby sling to get him use to being held and he liked it. He likes to be talked to in a quiet voice and loves to be petted on his head and the sides of his cheeks. Sweetie is very affectionate. She will take less time to warm up than her brother. She is also more outgoing. You will see her playing during the day. She will come up to you and ask for attention after a while. She is very talkative and has no problem letting you know what she wants. They are both awesome cats that need someone who is patient, kind and willing to give them a forever home as they have been here twice now. We feel that the reward for someone giving them this will be beyond words. They were both born in May 2005. Sonny is sponsored by Annette K.
