PIPER's Story...
PLEASE READ THIS PROFILE AND THE REQUESTED CRITERIA BEFORE CALLING OR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION

THIS IS PIPER....a cute-as-a-button, tan/white with black tips, 8.5 lbs (could still get up to 10 lbs), Shih Tzu puppy. This little girl was dumped in the shelter with her brother, and another rescue took him but left her behind She is still missing him a little but she is young and will get over it. Piper loves to romp and play and go for her walks. We have no idea why her owner would have let go of her, as she is a sweetie pie! She is still a little shell shocked and has no idea what is going on....but she loves being with her foster roommates, especially the female -- Ivie. This little girl is going to need a lot of love and affection .... she loves to be held and caressed....she is learning to go potty outside and on pee pads and is doing very well! She is quiet as a mouse...we have not heard her bark yet! She does whine a little in the car when she can't see you -- she likes to sit on the front seat and watch what is going on. She MUST MUST MUST go to a home where there is another dog! She hates to be left alone and another, small, happy dog will solve that problem! We think she would love kids and be great in a family environment. She will not be available until October 24, as she has been exposed to kennel cough and we don't want to expose the rest of the pups. We'll let you know more as we learn more.

Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID tag!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

PIPER, a Los Angeles Shih Tzu puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Shih Tzu puppy from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
