Hunk (Flagstaff)'s Story...
Hi, My name is Hunk. I'm a Weimaraner mix, one of Flagstaff's finest. I'm about 4 years old and I am a very good dog. My friend died a few months ago and his kids are taking care of me. But their dog, Maverick, isn't always very nice. He bit the tip of my ear off. So I would really like to find a new friend who won't bite my ears.

I like dogs, cats and kids. Liaden, the kitty, is one of my best friends. We play chase my tail together. Sometimes she bites a little hard, but I don't mind.

I like kids, but the little ones fall over too easily when I play with them. They also cry a lot when my tail hits them. I have lots of energy and like to run and hike.

I know how to sit and will always sit for treats. I will come when called and I stay close when off leash. I tend to pull on the leash so I would rather walk on a harness. I love to run! Chasing rabbits and squirrels is lots of fun!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hunk (Flagstaff), a Scottsdale Weimaraner dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Weimaraner for sale in Scottsdale, or seeking a Weimaraner dog from a breeder in Scottsdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scottsdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scottsdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Weimaraner breeders who help with Weimaraner rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scottsdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
