My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

location: Tigard, OR

L'Lily is about a year old and is a Jack Russell Terrier. No one knows how she ended up at the Vermillion Parish shelter in Louisiana, but she was only hours from being put down when she got included in a crate of Rat Terriers going to Oregon. Obviously, it was a goof as L'Lily is all Jack! Initially quite shy, Lily has learned to really like humans and has a happy, out-going personality. She is very friendly and affectionate. She chases toys and will even sit on your lap for a little while. Lily was easily house-broken and has learned to use a doggy door. She learns very quickly and is a joy to train. But Lily is all Jack Russell and not a Rat Terrier. Lily is good with most other dogs, especially males that like to play, and she likes children. But she will pick on older and smaller dogs, especially females. She should not be in a house with cats, chickens, gerbils or anything that she would consider prey. Other than her strong prey drive, she is a joy to have around. Lily is still getting used to walking on a leash and needs some work with this. Lily is not much of a barker unless someone knocks on the door. As she is young and healthy, she needs a lot of exercise. She has extra toes on her two back feet and her tail has never been docked. She is what the Jack Russell people call a "pud". She has a long back and short legs and is about 13 pounds. L'Lily is in excellent health and is very smart. This is a really sweet little dog!
