Jacob in Summerville, SC's Story...
SPECIAL NEEDS: Feline Diabetes and FIV positive Jacob is a big, handsome classic tabby with white bicolor 6 year old boy. Loving, sweet and affectionate, Jacob has NEVER met a soul he doesn't instantly love. This big boy is an absolute marshmallow - soft, squishable and sweet as he can be. Jacob just gives the very best hugs, and is liberal with offering massages! Jacob is FIV positive and has feline diabetes. He also has been diagnosed with a low-grade heart murmer and possible Hypertrophic Cardio Myopathy. His heart will be reevaluated in 3 months, a diagnosis and possible treatment plan mapped out. His diabetes is controlled by a low carbohydrate diet. Occasional home blood glucose testing is done to monitor his blood sugar and ensure he is still diet-controlled. We would be very happy to teach you how to care for Jacob. He will steal your heart away as soon as you meet! This boy is SO loving and handsome! Jacob is a favorite cat on our Pet Therapy program.
