10/03/10 - OK, I know what you are all thinking, I don't quite look like a yorkie, and you are right. I must be a mix of several different breeds, but people say they see some Cairn Terrier in me and maybe there is some yorkie in there somewhere too. Besides looks, I am a very sweet boy and I love lots of love and affection. I am a little under weather right now and must have picked something up from the shelter before I left, but the dogtor put me on some medicine that will hopefully clear it up soon. Because I do not feel well, I haven't been able to show my new foster mommy and daddy my real personality, so keep watching for that because they will know soon!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Henry, a Columbia Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier for sale in Columbia, or seeking a Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Columbia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbia paves the way for another one to be saved.
