Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We would like to explain that if you are looking for a perfect dog, they are rarely found in rescue. Our dogs often have unknown histories and we do our very best to evaluate each dog with kids, cats, and other dogs as well as determine how they behave in a home. It is important to understand that we have some specific criteria for each dog based on their backgrounds and input from their foster families. The purpose of these criteria is to better match each dog with an appropriate family. While a certain dog might appeal to you based on breed, size, gender or appearance, you may not match the listed criteria. Please understand that we are not trying to make adoption difficult—we are trying to make each adoption successful for the dog and the new family.
Rollie was saved from death when a breeder decided to go out of business. The breeder asked the vet to euthanize seven healthy cavaliers and seven healthy cavapoos ranging in age from 3 months to 6 years! Of course she refused, and Rollie arrived and is in foster care looking for his new home. He is still pretty shy but has warmed up to foster dad quickly. Rollie needs a family who understands the needs of puppy mill dogs and how to help them acclimate to being family members. Rollie is a male puppy, 6 months old and 14 pounds. Rollie is playful and would enjoy a home with kids over 10, cats, and other small and medium dogs. Rollie is working on his house training and is doing very well. His $500 adoption fee covers his neuter, heartworm test and pill, shots, worming, grooming, and microchip.
To ensure that this dog thrives in his new home and that the adoption works out for the dog and your family, these are the requirements for adoption.
• Homeowners: Required
• Status of adopter: Mature adults
• Previous dog owning experience: required
• Age of children: 10 or older
• Another dog in the home: Required
• Cat(s) in the home: Okay with cats
• Fenced yard: Strongly preferred
• Time alone on work days: Someone home most of the time
