Laney's Info...

Laney's Story...

Abandoned by her owner on the I-40W just outside of Tucumcari (NM), this sweet girl was found dodging big-rig after big-rig, being blown about by their passing force. By the grace of God she survived it long enough a kind man to scoop her up into his van. She was choked by a collar much too tight (with no identification of course) and covered with dried dung and dirt.

Laney is very well mannered and a little shy. She does not jump (no matter how happy she is to see you) and we have not heard her bark. She whimpers a little when she wants some attention but only for a moment. She is very friendly and will follow you faithfully until she sees another friendly person she would like to meet! She is hesitant on a leash but is getting more comfortable. She sits on command and comes enthusiastically when called. She learns quickly and responds very well to gentle verbal corrections. She is ready to play and run when you are, but curls up beside you when you have other things to do. She is great with my dogs (both male and female). She rides very nicely in the car but I get the sense it is new to her. She is full grown at about 40 pounds, in excellent health and spayed. Laney is a gentle, happy girl who would make a terrific addition to a loving, forever home. If you are interested, please email us at palrescue@mac.com and put the dog's name in the subject line.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Laney, a Rolling Hills Estates Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Rolling Hills Estates, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Rolling Hills Estates.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rolling Hills Estates already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rolling Hills Estates breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rolling Hills Estates paves the way for another one to be saved.
