Dreyfus's Story...
Dreyfus (pronounced "Dri-fus") was born around the end of April, 2006 and came to Tassie's Hope on 6/16/06. In just a few short weeks, this little fawn-colored baby, somehow, became homeless and was found wandering as a stray in a Dallas suburb. He was brought to a city shelter, then finally made it to a Tassie's Hope foster home, where he is currently being cared for. That's an awful lot of upheaval for a tiny little guy in his first 7 weeks of life. Dreyfus has permanently stepped off his rollercoaster and is getting the TLC that every puppy deserves. Dreyfus is already a little character. It's obvious that he has loads of personality and attitude and is no shrinking violet. He has his affectionate side, but he is definitely more of a playful dog than a lap dog. Dreyfus enjoys playing with his foster mom's teacup Chihuahuas (who tower over him). They play-wrestle with vigor and Dreyfus has a blast. Dreyfus has a very healthy appetite and never misses the opportunity for a puppy power nap. After all, he is a growing boy. Dreyfus needs a permanent, loving home where he will always be safe and secure. We are looking for a Chihuahua-savvy, ADULT home for Dreyfus and one without large, hyper dogs. **Applicants must have a verifiable history with a vet.** Our $150 adoption fee helps cover the cost of Dreyfus' neuter, 3 rounds of puppy boosters and worming. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dreyfus, a Carrollton Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Carrollton, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Carrollton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carrollton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carrollton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carrollton paves the way for another one to be saved.
