Zeus's Story...
Zeus is an 8 month old black Lab pup. He is working very hard on learning basic commands and getting housetrained, and he walks great on a leash. If he gets too far ahead of you he will stop and wait for you to catch up! His foster sister is teaching him how to play with toys because he doesn't really understand them right now. His favorite thing is being with his foster dad. He loves being around people, and is great with other dogs, but hasn't been around kids at all. He is also great with cats-- doesn't chase them or anything! If you would like to apply to adopt this pet please visit www.powellPAWS.org to review our adoption requirements and submit an application. Submitting an application does not guarantee or hold a dog, or commit you to the adoption process. All PAWS dogs are in foster homes and can be seen by appointment. We reserve the right to deny an application for any reason without explanation.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zeus, a Powell Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Powell, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Powell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Powell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Powell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Powell paves the way for another one to be saved.
