Hunter's Story...
Hi I'm Hunter. I'm a handsome 6 month old Daschund mix. I've been through a lot in my short life. I used to be tied outside all the time but a wonderful group called Blue Moon Meadows saved me from a lonely life outside and placed me in foster care.
I have 2 foster brothers and 1 foster sister who I adore and can't wait to get out and play with.
I'm fully crate and house trained. I'm scheduled to be neutered on 11/8 so I won't be able to come home with you until I lose my "man parts". Once I'm ready though, I'm quite sure I'll be a great asset to your family!
I love to play, take walks and sometimes,if you let me, I will entertain you with my "puppy" behavior. For example: I will treat a biscuit like it's a toy. My foster mom says "I'm a clown".
I'm really glad I came to Blue Moon Meadows so I can be inside where I'm safe and warm.
Please make room for me at your Thanksgiving Table.
Thanks with all my heart!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hunter, a Avon Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Avon, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Avon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Avon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Avon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Avon paves the way for another one to be saved.
