Beautiful Stella is looking for a new forever home. Her previous owners had to move when their home was foreclosed on and they asked a neighbor if she could watch Stella until they got back on their feet. Unfortunately, even though they had Stella ever since she was a kitten, they never came back for her. A week after the neighbor took Stella in her care; she had a litter of kittens. Stella was a wonderful mom to her five babies but is happily retired from motherhood! After all, she’s barely a year old and is still a kid herself. Due to a family member’s asthma, the neighbor was unable to keep Stella long term and she was headed for the shelter. Fortunately, Stella was able to go into foster care with a local rescue group and now has a second chance at finding a new home. Stella is a very sweet and social kitty with a laid-back personality. She’s been raised around dogs (a Cocker Spaniel and a Lab mix) and children and has been around other cats. Stella is an affectionate girl who loves attention and doesn’t mind being held. She never hesitates to lean in for kisses and loves chin scratches and pets on her head. She’s also a sucker for belly rubs! Stella has quite the lovely purr motor and sometimes, even before you see her, you’ll hear her purring. If you’re looking for a wonderful kitty to add to your home, check out sweet Stella!

Born approximately on 7.11.09, Stella is spayed, FIV & Feline Leukemia negative, current on vaccinations & is microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stella, a Overland Park Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
