Gutsy, sweet, loves to play
Nobody needs to grow up under a dumpste, least of all a tiny kitten.
How did she get there? Where was her mom? Nobody knows the answers, but when little Catherine (or Toots) was spotted, she was anemic and covered in fleas and ants and cowering, hungry, under the dumpster at a local drugstore.
It took 3-4 days after the flea treatment and the good, solid food, and the cuddling before this little baby finally started to 'make biscuits' and purr. Now, she's a bundle of joy. But once she recovered from the trauma of being alone in a drugstore parking lot, the spots of ringworm started to appear. A fellow rescued kitten 'shared' the nasty stuff with poor Catherine.
Today, over the ringworm, over the fear, over the trauma, she's a lovely little lady full of purrs and love. She doesn't like to be picked up like any sack of potatoes. She has a VERY special way of wanting to be held, in your arms, right side up, she says, and cuddled to your chest.
She is very active, and loves to jump for a feathered toy, chase little Mylar balls around, wrestle with her friends.
She wears a lovely silver gray (blue tabby) coat in the'classic tabby' or 'bullseye' pattern, and her paws and the 'trim' on her face is a soft pastel beige highlighted with white.
