Nikki's Story...
Hello, my name is Nikki and I was surrendered to the shelter because my people were moving. I'm almost 3 years old and 51lbs. I really like to play with squeaky toys!! I'm already housetrained and I know a few basic commands. I like to pull on the leash a lot so I need some work on that! Will you help me learn? I would do best in a home with older children and without other animals. If you are interested in providing a loving forever home for me please contact the shelter and include my ID number.

ALL ANIMALS MUST BE ALTERED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF ADOPTION OR BY SIX MONTHS OF AGE!

Act quickly to adopt Nikki. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nikki, a Ladysmith German Shepherd Dog/Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Chow Chow for sale in Ladysmith, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Ladysmith.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ladysmith already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ladysmith breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Chow Chow breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ladysmith paves the way for another one to be saved.
