My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gromit is located in Merritt Island, Fl

Gromet is a very handsome, black and tan, naturally floppy eared German Shepherd. He is approximately 2 1/2 years old. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, flea and tick prevention. Gromet has tested light positive for heartworms and is currently being treated for this condition. We will provide our information regarding our heatworm treatment.

Gromet was rescued from a high kill shelter and we were fortunate enough to save him just in time. Gromit arrived in Rescue emaciated and in need of tender loving care. He has a great appetite and is slowly gaining weight. Since being in his foster home his foster dad reports he has energy back and is thriving every day. He acts a lot like a puppy and is a little bit awkward. He just flops into your lap sometimes like a big ole lap dog. Gromit is extremely friendly and lovable. Just a good old lug who does not seem to be unhappy about anything.

Gromit will do great in any home with children and lots of attention and activity. He loves to play with other dogs however smaller dogs and kitty cats a home without is preferred due to his high herding drive. He loves to play with his foster brothers and sisters pulling on tug toys or chasing each other around.

Gromit is well behaved in the house and is also crate trained. He knows basic obedience commands, enjoys car rides and walks. His favorite activities are playing with squeaky toys and tug toys. He has shown himself to be a very loving and affectionate companion reported by his foster family.
