When her owner could no longer care for her, Pretty Girl came to live with her loving Rawhide foster family. Pretty Girl (aka "PG") is around 3 years old and a bundle of muscle and love who wiggles her butt when she sees people she recognizes (she will also roll over for a belly rub for just about anybody!)
Pretty Girl has come a long way since she came to our Rawhide family, she used to be quite fearful of other dogs which would result in her growling and taking a defensive stance. Our volunteers have been working with her, having her attend Adoption Days and generally socializing her to other dogs and she is more confident and less defensive. Pretty Girl gets along with some dogs, especially smaller dogs and she has little interest in cats, but like any pit bull mix she would need to have her manners reinforced. She would make a great dog for an active adult home but as much as she likes to play, she likes to cuddle even more!
PG is housebroken, walks pretty well on a leash (better every day), and she knows the basic sit, and down commands. She is a quick learner, most of all she wants to please. She responds to rules, boundaries, limitations and especially, affection (thank you Cesar) . She loves to play fetch with a ball and is pretty good about bringing it back too! In short, if you are looking for a best friend who will be the most loyal, loving dog in the world to you, and you never tire of giving belly rubs and kisses, we urge you to consider adding Pretty Girl to your pack!
