Nellie's Story...
Our Autumn puppies, Nellie and Kellie - These sweet little girls are about 12 weeks old and full of so much sugar and spice and everything nice. They really are the sweetest little girl puppies ever. Nellie is a little bit bigger than Kellie, but personality wise they are both pretty much the same. They love to be held and rocked like a baby and get their tummies rubbed and to lay over your shoulder and just nestle their little chin on your neck and snuggle. They also love to run and romp and torment their bigger foster sisters and brothers not to mention the kitty (he just runs and hides). Both Nellie and Kellie are happy, healthy, fun loving puppies who like to do all the puppy things and get into typical puppy trouble like puppies do. After romping and playing in the sun, they curl up together for a refreshing nap only to wake and ready to start all over. For puppies, these girls are really pretty mellow and sweet like little girls should be.
Nellie and Kellie are up to date on their vaccinations for their age and micro-chipped. They are also crate trained and have had no accidents in their crate. They are both great little girls looking for a loving, caring family to call their own. If you think your family can give these girls the love and nurturing that they need and deserve, indicate them in the notes section of the online application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nellie, a Salem Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Salem, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
